You can have as many times ns-allinone-2* as you want,
installed at the same time. But do never add any *PATH text to .bashrc.
Example :
/home/<name>/a/ns-allinone-2.35/, ns-allinone-2.34/
/home/<name>/b/ns-allinone-2.35/
/home/<name>/c/ns-allinone-2.35/
/home/<name>/d/ns-allinone-2.35/
/home/<name>/e/ns-allinone-2.35/
... etc. etc. , all ns2 versions,
all possible added protocols,
and some combinations of extra protocols.
So you can simply set up 1) The original ns-allinone-2.xx,
2) The "patched" / edited ns-allinone-2.xx
