Macbook -> Linux -> WLAN (FONERA) SUSE 10.2 (!)
I know this is a standard question and you are probably going to tell me to search the forum. Well, I did that. And I tried all kinds of things (Maybe this is why nothing works anymore?)
Here's the deal:
We've got:
Macbook (MB)
Suse 10.2 PC (SUSE)
crossover cable
wlan installed on both MB and SUSE (managed by networkmanager and the nifty applet in KDE)
HOWEVER:
I connect MB and SUSE via ethernet crossover cable for file synchs (privacy and speed)
When I connect, SUSE looses Internet-connection.
"route" does not list appropriate routes, so I know WHAT happens, but not WHY...
No wonder, as a result, MB is far from having Internet connection.
So the either file sync or Internet situation annoys me
So all I need are the appropriate Settings for YaST2...
eth0 is set up with static IPs SUSE 176.16.0.1, MB .2
wlan0 is connected to AP/Router (Fonera Router, IP 192.168.10.1)
my idea for Routing config (in YAST2)
192.168.10.1 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 wlan0
176.16.0.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 eth0
default 192.168.10.1 0.0.0.0
...does not work...
Anybody got the 5 mins this will probably take you guys...?
Thanks a lot!
