Linux box as a router/switch/WLAN bridge?

Hi,

I would like to use my old desktop PC (which is currently just a file server for backups) as a bridge to extend the current range of my WLAN. I have a second access point and a LAN and a WLAN card are built in. I'll be using Ubuntu on the machine.

What do I need to do to enable routing of network traffic from one card to the other. Or is that enabled by default.

Hope you can point me in the right direction.

Thanks.
