Linksys USB Wireless Adapter Help...

Hi all,

I just installed Mepis on my brother-in-laws P.C. He has a Linksys Wireless USB adapter that works fine on WinXP. The problem is, even though Mepis recognises the USB Adapter, we cannot connect to the internet. The USB Adapter is listed when Mepis boots up, but looking under Network in the Mepis OS is says theres no Wireless Connection present.

Any ideas why is not picking up the signal from the Linksys AP? i tried everything and to no avail
