is there a wireless ethernet connection gadget?

I can not get my girlfriends brodcom wireless working with suse 10.3 an I lost a day on this. I nice sulotion would be a ethernet wireless antenna with power from a usb.

It would always work.

I hate laptops made for windows.

Hi. I just got my linksys USB wireless g WUSB54Gv4 to work with my dell d600laptop. What is tricky is that the version of the USB device is unknown until AFTER you buy it and open the package.

You can check the list on ndiswrapper to find out which devices are compatible with it so if you need to buy something you can get something that's been known to work.

http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/j...id,33/id,list/

I would also recommend posting in their forums to see if someone has a USB wireless device running and finding out what that type of make and model it is.

I am not using ndiswrapper currently with it but I am sure it (will/ may) work as well as I needed it to get the internal wireless card to function. I am not sure if it will work under suse 9.3 but if there is a live cd of that version I would not mind trying it to see if I could get it to work for you.

I know that me running fedora (at least for a few more days) does not help but at least you know someone has been able to get it to work (with the invaluable help from he people on this board and the linuxreality board).

Please let me know.

Take care!

yes a ethernet wireless antennna that got a small webserver in it like a router. With one like that one would not have a instalation problem with drivers and ndiswrapper etc.
