is there a madwifi version for suse9.2 pro kernal 2.6.8

Hello Folks

I have an amilo a7640 AMD64
I have a netgear dsl router dg834gt with netgear pcmica wg511t
the version made in china which im lead to belive has a Atheros chipset
which leads me to madwifi drivers
I have download the latest cvs file from there site
but when I try to make the file I get the following error

linux:/usr/src/madwifi # make
cat: /lib/modules/2.6.8-24.11-default/build/include/linux/wireless.h: No such fi
cat: /lib/modules/2.6.8-24.11-default/build/include/linux/wireless.h: No such fi
Checking if all requirements are met... FAILED
Only kernel versions 2.4.x and above are supported.
make: *** [configcheck] Error 1
the error messgae says that I need a kernal version 2.4 or above
but I have 2.6.8, which I think should work as 2.6 is bigger than 2.4??

linux:/usr/src/madwifi # uname -r
2.6.8-24.11-default
linux:/usr/src/madwifi #

does anyone know if there is a version of madwifi for my kernal?

I have found a list of rpms but they are only for FC3
is there an rpm for suse9.2pro or will the version for FC3 work on Suse?

Many thanks for your help and advice

If you go into /lib/modules/(uname -r) is there a symlink "build" to your kernel source there?

I said in /lib/modules/(uname -r I saw you using that in your post so I assumed you would know that that is the directory named after your kernel source
