Ok how is your network setup?
Is the RH9 system connected via wireless as well, or it it cat5e cable?
<gah I really dislike RH9; consider updating to a more recent release will ya>

Proxy- Its simply third party software which you install. This is kinda of a crappy way to do things esp. When you said you connect via wireless.

The ideal thing would be to just get a wireless card and plug it in the RH9 machine.

Give details on how you connect to the net and how your network is setup and we'll know what to try.

Hi,

Ya maybe i should upgrade my distro as RH9 is my lst linux OS to play in <juz 2 mth in Linux>.

My netwk setup --> I hv 3 com in total (one XP & e other RH 9), wired in Cat5e, with router+switch by Linksys.

Access Point at e other room <2 rooms here>, only my XP box is using D-Link USB wireless adapter to link over.

- Netwk address is 192.168.1.x on XP box.(Auto DHCP assigned by access point).

- Local Netwk address for both XP & RH9 is 192.168.2.x

How can i shared my internet connection here?
When i pluck my usb wireless adapter into RH 9, it can't detect the adapter.........what can do abt this usb detection? any commands?

Hope i am clear with my descriptions & feel free to prompt me if i am unclear.....

pls advise.......... thanks

Ok I don't really know how to set that up, however I recommend your get a wireless card for the linux box.
What kind of wireless dongle do you have? You may have to use ndiswrapper to make it work (this converts windows drivers to work on linux).
