Hey, everyone. Is there anyone who knows how to obtain RSSI from all APs around? In /proc/net/wireless, there is only RSSI from the associated AP. However, I know STA can obtain RSSI from beacon without association. So is there anyway to obtain RSSI from all APs around (also with corresponding SSID/BSSID)? I want to use all of them to implement a WIFI locationing system.
Thanks for MS3FGX's kind answer.
Ye, from script command you can do it. However, if I write a program, is there any API to do it? I do not what to do process switch every time to issue a command like "iwlist intf scan". Function call will be much cheaper and fast .....
