help choosing a compatible wireless card for mandrake 10

Ok, I just downloaded and installed mandrake 10 yesterday and everything is fine, but i want to take it a step further and install a wireless card for my wireless lan. I'm semi-new to linux and totally new to wireless with linux. If i could get some reccomendations on a good card along with some how to instructions I would be happy! Thanks.

dido, i have researched the forum and there is some good info there as well.
I got the wpc11 card from linksys, i want to put mandrake 10 on my lappy but im not sure if the wireless will work.From what i have been reading it seems to be a hit or miss thing.
I cannot lose the wireless function of the laptop at all.
