Fedora Core 2 WEP config with Belkin PCI card

Hey all,

I am using Ndiswrapper and wpa_supplicant to run WPA on my box.
<<FC2 with Belkin highspeed router and desktop wireless pci card.>>

It works great but now I have to go down to WEP security for a short time.

there is a wpa_supplicant.conf file. Does anyone know if i edit this to set the key_mgmnt and proto to WEP if it will work? I had a h*ll of a time configuring WPA so Im not trying to break it The PCI card is configured fine with NDiswrapper so my intution tells me i need to edit something else to get WEP working. Any help would be apprectated. Links, ideas, etc.

SMR

This is based on ignorance of wpa_supplicant....

Can you just not run wpa_supplicant when you need WEP instead? WEP is built into the wireless tools, so you can set the WEP key with iwconfig.

yes, i realized how lazy i was without reading the man pages about wpa_supplicant before I asked.

Thanks for the tip with iwconfig i did not know that WEP configuration was a tool with that. I will look into these and let you know what I find.
