Hello everyone. I have a minor problem with dhclient(I think) and my resolv.conf file being overwritten at boot time. Here is the problem...my ip address for my cable providers nameservers follow the format 24.28.XXX.XXX...if I have to boot I found the the resolv.conf is being overwritten with 28.24.XXX.XXX As you can see the first and second octet are being reversed. I have been reading the man pages on everything I can think of regarding dhclient, the config files for it..man ifup/ifdown...I can't seem to find the switch and proper file to put it in that tells dhclient to leave the nameservers listed in resolv.conf static... Can someone point me in the right direction?
