Connecting on Layer 2, not Layer 3!!!!

I have a Thinkpad T20 with a Linksys WCP54GS. I got everything working by following the Ndiswrapper site tutorial verbatim. I got my PC to accept the network key and connect to the ESSID I supplied. I look on the router status page and I see the MAC address of my wireless card as being connected. I set the IP address and default gateway. If I do a ifconfig, I see 173 packets RX from the WIFI interface, but 0 TX. Why can't I get to the net???

Thank you.

Yep. And I also tried pinging IPs on the same subnet. No luck.
