configure lan card to work ubuntu with no internet connected

is there any way to get my netopia 802.11b TER/WPC11N1 model: SWL 2300N to work in ubuntu studio with out it connenet to internet. I have ony access to public wifi. I do have other comps that can get internet access if maybe could transfer data with usb drive
