Cisco 350 series

I know alot of you have posted questions about the Aironet 350 and RFMON (myself included0. Well I have spent the last 2 weeks straight getting this bastard to work, and this is what i have.

First, To associate with access points, I CANNOT use the wireless tools (iwconfig). I had to use the ACU utility which i extracted from their driver package (but you must use default drivers, as ciscos won't work with 2.6.x).

For wireless sniffing, the only application i could get to work, was kismet (which is one of the best). and this is how I did it.

edit the kismet.conf file and under source, change it to
source=cisco_wifix,eth0:wifi0,ciscosource

I then built a quckie script like so:

**********
echo Going into monitor mode
echo
echo "Mode: r" > /proc/driver/aironet/eth0/Config
echo "Mode: y" > /proc/driver/aironet/eth0/Config
echo
kismet
**********

name it something, and throw it into the /sbin folder
then start kismet with the script, rather than directly
but remember kismet must be started from the home directory or your specified "slide-down" user.

Here is two weeks of frustration, depression, and boarderline alcoholism all condensed into a few lines of text. So here you go.
