best distro for wireless networking support?

I just bought a new laptop to do some research into wireless security. Specifically I am going to be using kismet, airsnort, etc for a research project at my University.

I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what distribution I should use that has the best support for these types of programs? I have an Intel 2200bg network card.

I was planning on using Debian Sarge, but I was advised that it may be stale and not have the most up-to-date support for wireless.

Thanks!

While a stock install of Debian Sarge might not have the latest and greatest, Debian's apt-get system would allow you to upgrade what you need pretty easily.

To be honest, for what you need, most of the major linux distros out there are going to be more or less equal. You're likely to be using the ipw2200 driver, and that will behave the same in pretty much any distro.
