Ok, here's what I've tried since, and now I'm in deeper hot water than before. Note in the previous post, I was not able to get Fedora to display hardware present, as per regular ndiswrapper installation.
I tried this
ndiswrapper -a 1799:700f net8185
- this made the hardware present
- restarted the computr
- computer not able to determine IP address during boot
- no wired RJ45 access
- went into terminal, did the following:
- su -
- modprobe ndiswrapper
- lwconfig
- at this point, I can see wlan0, with a wireless G card
- computer freezes
Help??
