Belkin F5D6020 v.3 in Linux Debian
Hello all, in first place, sorry for my english.
I recently buy a Belkin F5D6020 Wireless card to my laptop.I'm newbie in a linux world and i hope someone help me installing and configuring this card.
I have Debian Sid with 2.6.6 kernel and 3.2.5-3 version of pcmcia-cs package. I configure the pcmcia and activate it in the kernel. When i execute "cardctl ident" i obtain:
dreamer:~# cardctl ident
Socket 0:
no product info available
Socket 1:
no product info available
I unplug the card and plug it again but obtain the same. If i execute cardctl status i obtain:
dreamer:~# cardctl status
Socket 0:
no card
Socket 1:
3.3V CardBus card
function 0: [ready]
The information that i found in google about my card is that use Realtek 8180 driver (This driver, the webpage said that is for 2.4.20 or 2.4.18 kernels), i download it and try to compile with 2.6.6 kernel and gcc 3.3.3 but i obtain a lot of errors. I will try later to compile it in 2.4.20 kernel but i hope to run wireless card in my 2.6.6 kernel.
I also try to run this card with ndiswrapper using the Windows driver, and load sucesfully the driver but the interface wlan0 "wasn't created".
----
Later, i instal the 2.4.20 kernel, and compile sucessfully the realtek driver, but i can't load it, it gives an error:
rtl8180_24x.o init_module: No such device
In dmesg i obtain:
****** RTL8180 Wireless Lan Driver 2003-11-24 loaded ********
rtl8180: No devices found, RTL8180 Wireless Lan Driver 2003-11-24 unregistered
But the card is plugged, i try tu unplug and plug it but don't work.
Also i compile atmel driver sucessfully without errors and try to use lvnet to configure card, but shows an error:
Card not found.
If anyone can help me post please.
Thanks!
