AVM Fritz WLAN USB stick native driver installation fails (endet mit Fehlern)

Hi ,
I am new in this LinuxQuestons.org user community.
Short introduction: 68 yaers old - not keen to use winXP anymore
nor other Gill Baites SW. Was in IT business since 1967. Know many operating systems.

I'm using Puppy Linux Version 4.3.1 on different PCs.
The one I have a bit of trouble is a Gateway Solo 2150 500Mhz 160MByte
40 GB HDD. The hick up is with WLAN.

The FritzWLAN USB stick connects me to internet with help of ndiswrapper
(enveloping AVM windows drivers). So far so good.
I connect to internet by going thru following sequence of Puppy WLAN wizard clicks:

connect / wireless LAN / wireless / load (a profile) / use this profile
/ Auto DHCP (got IP adrees) / save configuration (yes) / Done

The idea is to save and reuse the configuration next time I boot.
But that doesn't work. I have to go thru the above mentioned procedure
again, every time I (or my wife) boots.

The USB port on this machine (Gateawy Solo 2150) is a Version 1.0 hardware as compared to newer PCs USB 2.0 hardware/firmware.

I came across the AVM native drivers for the Fritz WLAN USB stick. Did learn a lot how to integrate the native driver in to the kernel but at the end I failed with error messages I can't solve.
I have read the FM from AVM which explains SuSe and other Linux distros
install procedures and followed really seriously those sequence of commands.

May be a younger person could give me a hand - I copy the err msgs where I got stuck:

AVM Fritz WLAN USB stick native driver installation fails

I have raised a question reg native driver support for Fritz USB WLAN stick to AVM support team and got following answer:

Ihre Ticket-ID CID2363642

vielen Dank für Ihre Anfrage.

Mit Erscheinen des Kernel 2.6.25 wurden Änderungen eingeführt, die dazu
führen, dass der Treiber der FRITZ!WLAN USB nicht mehr korrekt arbeitet.

Eine Änderung des USB-Treibers des FRITZ!WLAN USBs ist zur Zeit nicht
geplant. Informationen zur Treiberintegration unter Linux finden Sie unter
anderem hier:

which basically says with introduction of kernel 2.6.25 changes have been made that made the driver unusable. Further development of drivers for the given product is not in the pipeline - fullstop

They have plans for supporting the newer Fritz WLAN USB stick "N" but no timeline

But I'm sad to say,
I'm on my way,
won't be back for many a day.
My heart is down,
my head is turning around,
I had to leave a little girl in Kingston Town. (Harry Belafonte)

rgds Axel
