ath0 is not present

Where to start ...?
How about in the middle of it.

I was installing the drivers for my D-Link DWL-G520 card, using the instructions from this post: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=163192
I'm running Slackware 10.0. I was using Suse 9.1, but decided I'd try Slackware for the heck of it.

All was going well. Until I had to start dealing with ath0. For some reason it's not present, or configured to appear.

When I do lspci - it shows up. But inconfig(is that right?) doesn't show it. Nor does iwconfig. So I'm kinda screwed there I think.
So what do I have to do to get it to work?

The really interesting part is that it worked in Suse 9.1 right off the bat during the install, no setup was really even needed. I found that impressive.

Umm, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a bunch!
Jason

I using MDK 10.1, so Im no expert on your distro, but,

try ifup ath0 if its the first nic

then ifconfig -a

see if that gets the info up on screen.

I think you need to be root to do these.

lspci shows the cards and onboard devices list. to view irq as well add -a
