ASUS wl-160g driver

Hi linux community.
I am rather new to linux and yet I am trying to find a way to get my asus wl-160g usb wlan adapter running; unfortunately so far without success.
I understood its roots is located at Envara which is acquired by Intel nowadays. Is there a chance to get this WLAN working without using DriverLoader?
