hi,
when i like to create an VM image and then to launch it i must be logged in cloud director or in controller?
i must execute this in stack user or root?
by executing this in command line can i see the image with dasboard?
tnx
You can create an image anywhere (e.g. on your PC) by installing a virtual machine manually, then saving the VM’s root disk in a format your hypervisor understands. I don’t know what you mean by “cloud director” or “controller”, though.
How to launch an image depends on the hypervisor or cloud you use to run VMs.
The user is probably irrelevant, but I am not sure what you mean by “execute this”. Build the image or launch a machine from it or something else?
It depends on the dashboard if you can see images. My guess is that most types of VM or cloud dashboards allow you to see images.
You may want to add a bit of context to your question.

Well, you didn't mention OpenStack in your question.
I am not very familiar with Red Hat OpenStack Platform. Normally, however, you manage instances from any system that has the openstack client.

Check the Nova Scheduler log for more detailed error messages. When debug logging is enabled, it should tell you which filter(s) is/are responsible for filtering out all nodes.
