VirtualBox: Which Python version?

I installed VirtualBox 6.1.34 today, and noticed it was still using python2.7 which is EOL, AFAIK. Is that kosher? Should it be using Python3?

You haven't said what distro this is?

However, since Python 2's 2020 EOL was announced in November 2014, if Oracle still haven't got off their arses and upgraded that dependency after seven years, I would simply recommend using software from more competent developers.

  1. Slackware64-15.0
  2. Fine, but Virtualbox is good. What would you recommend?
