So after i install a virt machine using KVM on my CentOS host machine. I want to then get to the virt machine using CLI on my host machine. What is the command to do this if say my virt machine is called testserver1.example.com
Thanks
thank you for the information it worked. Now what if i wanted to switch to a different console?(like pressing ctrl+alt+f2 in a gui)
also in ssh is there a way to do the same?
thanks again!!
the console is a text only version of the vm's output, so I'm sure you can but I can't remember for the life of me if there's a special key combination to do it. I know I can remember watching kickstart installs and switching between its different screens... unless that was through an ilo interface... actually, maybe it was that.
For SSH, no there's certainily no way as you are using a proper dedicated console created for the ssh connection itself. In those sorts of cases you may wish to look at the "screen" utility to achieve what you want.
