OpenStack migration.

Hi, I'm new to OpenStack and I need a clarification of two points I'm confused with. First, regarding compute node I need to know if I have 30 physical servers with virtual machines installed on it how can I migrate it to openstack? will every server be considered a compute node or the there is one compute node per deployment that controls all servers? Second, in multi-node deployment, will I need to use CLI of every service or I will use only CLI of controller node?
