kernels supported by xen

Hi all,

I want to upload the ubuntu machines into amazon cloud.
As of now i have a vmdk which is created on esx hypervisor. but amazon completely on xen based systems.
before uploading image we will have to install the kernels.so could you please tell me that which version of kernels has to be installed in ubuntu 11.10 and which version of kernels has to be installed on ubuntu 10.10 and 12.04?

is there any criteria to install the kernels?

Any kind of help would get me out from this problem.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

I'm not sure I understand your question correctly, but this might help you:

https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/vmimport/

It looks like you can import the vmdk directly into aws - no need to manually fiddle with anything else.

Regards,

Clifford
