I have been trying to get the Cuckoo malware sandbox program to play nicely with my ESXI hypervisor, but I keep running into issues. I am running Ubuntu 12.10
I recently was able to build libvirt with the esx drivers, but whenever I try to run Cuckoo, I get a message saying libvirt cannot be found.
I tried running libvirt directly with the command libvirtd, but I get this error when I do:
Error: dnsmasCapsRefreshInternal: 723 : Cannot check dnsmasq binary dnsmasq no such file or directory.
Most of the bug reports I've found do not address my specific issue.
Dnsmasq is running, and I have the dnsmasq files in /etc/. Ive tried uninstalling and re-installing with apt-get, but it doesn't work.
Thanks, but how do I do that? I couldn't find anything about this on the web, and there is nothing in my /srv directory. Can you link a tutorial or something?
Solution found:
1) upgrade dnsmasq to latest version (probably not necessary)
2) recompile libvirt with dnsmasq installed
3) restart libvirtd
Works fine
