How to move files from Dropbox to desktop?

I'm not sure this is the correct forum for this question, but I think it is. Someone sent me some folders of information on a public Dropbox. I can open the folders inside of Dropbox but I've been unable to transfer the folders to my desktop. Is there a way to do that within Linux? I've looked online but I can't find any reference to this particular issue. I am using Debian 10. The sender said he is able to just click and slide the folders to his desktop...but he uses Windows! How do you accomplish this on Debian? Thank you.

It is possible to mount a Dropbox account with rsync.

Or just use the web client and download them. Is that all you wanted to do was download the files?

Yes, I want to download them but not into another Dropbox account. I have been able to do that, but not download them outside of Dropbox altogether. That's what I'm trying to do.

did you even read that link I put in here?

Transferring them to another account that that file has not been graciously given rights to be downloaded at all.

You might just be stuck with downloading them then putting them into a different account.
