extending file system


hi, i am running ubuntu 9.10 on vmware I allocated 3 GB hard disk to this OS but now i am running out of space, I extended the virtual machine hard capacity to 10 GB and now i can see a 7 GB unallocated space in my ubuntu, how can i add this 7 GB to that 3GB
thankx for you help

Gparted is one option: http://gparted.sourceforge.net/
