CentOS Virtualization

I want to run CentOS Virtualization on the new Lenovo W530 workstation/laptop. I will using the Intel i7 XM core processor with 32gig of memory. My question is how does Virtualization on CentOS 6.0 respond to usb device connnections suchs hardrives and usb memory sticks? I'm currently running VMWare Workstation 8 in a Windows environment and I have no problems. I want to get more effecient use of my resources and better performance.

Thanks

I assume you mean KVM part of qemu. It is supposed to support usb 3.0 experimental passthrough. http://www.linux-kvm.com/
