Hi!
I have a small home server running Ubuntu Server, with a few QEMU/KVM VM's running on it. I would like to backup those VM's in their entirety. When I google how to backup QEMU/KVM VM's, it seems the way to do it is to use "virsh dumpxml" and copy the qcow2 file. Couldn't I just shut down the VM's and rsync the "/var/lib/libvirt" and "/etc/libvirt" (where the VM xml files seems to be located) directories?

Oh, but then I assume you'd have to create new VM's (but use the old qcow2 files)? I think I'll do as planned, can't see any reason why it wouldn't work, right..?
