HOTLUG Informal Meet-up: October 18, 2007

www.hotlug.org

The Heart of Texas Linux Users Group will be having an informal meet-up at the Lake Brazos Steakhouse (1620 N Lake Brazos Blvd Waco, TX 76704) on Thursday October 18th from around 5PM to whenever the group decides to go home. Lake Brazos Steakhouse has amazing food, and Shiner Bock on tap. We will probably be on the patio. If anyone is interested in hanging out, there should be a rather large group. I know there was one linux user from this forum that emailed me a while ago wanting to know about an active LUG. At that time, HOTLUG wasn't active. HOTLUG has not been active for awhile and we are hoping to have informal meet-ups a couple of times a month.

The 18th is a special day though, Gusty Gibbon will debut, it is the Thursday before the weekend that some students at Texas State Technical College will be taking some small-scale clusters to Austin, TX for the Maker Faire (I am helping with the project, but will be unable to attend the Faire).

Again, if there is anyone around on LQ that would like to come by and enjoy a beer or a cup of tea or a steak or whatever with us, you are welcome to join us. I know that for the new Linux users I always suggest they come to LQ, even I come here from time to time if I am having an issue. It is a great website that has helped me along the journey with Linux.
