I am trying to follow DevShed's "Using Zope with Apache" to get Zope working w/ Apache, but the Zope.cgi file is mysteriously absent. Is this file not included in Zope 2.9.4 or am I missing something? I've looked at all the files Zope comes w/, and none seem to suggest they should be used as a CGI. Any help is appreciated, Thanks!
I'm actually working my way up to Plone The organization I work for has been creating a quick prototype site (for internal use) w/ Plone on Windows, but would like to move it to something a little more dedicated before they do more. I would like to have Apache, not Zope's built-in web server, serve up the content, but it's not an absolute necessity. Nonetheless, I'm still looking for help if someone knows what's going on
OK, I figured it out. You can configure Zope (via .../etc/zope.conf) to create a unix-domain socket for fast-cgi (Zope runs as a server and handles the fast-cgi requests through this), then just use the FastCgiExternalServer directive to use to socket created by Zope.
