yum group install


hi,

yum group install saves a lot of time. but how can any one know what is the exact names of grop install available. for
ex: yum groupinstall "General Purpose Desktop"

but how to know the exact names available like"General Purpose Desktop"

please tel me how to check. i can check the packages availble in repo using . #yum list command.

# yum grouplist

... will show the "Group package names" for your OS.

you might also want to read the manual and help pages for yum
