.xps to anything

I am working on finding a way to print my homework from work. This place is strict on security but cant seem to figure out how to block ssl to my home box

So with homework i cannot access a printer here at work so i just use the MS xps printer to save the files and then ftp them to my box. Then i print from the command line. Just wondering if there is a way to convert a xps file to something else that i can print via ghostscript or something. Any Suggestions?

IMHO the best solution would be to print to file in a format that isn't only "open" (apparently XPS is open) but also platform-agnostic like PDF. Opera can print to PDF, as can OpenOffice.org (or whatever spin-offs there currently are) and there are OSS virtual PDF printer targets for ClippyOS as well. Okular and Evince seem to be able to read XPS documents and then there's GhostXPS.

Because unlike the rest of the Win/Ubuntu users i am perfectly happy with a box that i can only access via a terminal and does not run any kind of a x server.

Secondly, my work connection is slow so remote desktop would make me want to jump out of the second story window

I see. Binaries should work in both Linux and ClippyOS from the CLI.
