xmms player and red hat 9


believe my xmms files are corrupt, cannot open xmms, have installed the plug-ins. cannot run it with run command or open it with music file

what is the best way to fix this problem?

open up a terminal and type xmms and see if you get any error output, and if any post it here...
also did you install the mp3 plugin to enable mp3 support on your redhat box?

hi

i open up the terminal , and typed xmms - i get segmentation fault- i have downloaded different rpms, probablly messed things up. i had it running the other day, by not sure what rpm, if it,s the mp3 rpm i downloaded. any ideas.

You can download the latest version in RPM which includes MP3 support.

it,s having tough time installing mp3 plug-in, stalls. may have to do a re-install. also, i deleted some things in the /usr/bin-xmms, and now i have no xmms executable. later

got it installed, had to do a re-install. installed the xms mp3 123 file. not sure what happen, later
