XMMS and Amarok

How can I play about 10 seconds of each song? I've got about 40 gigabyetes of music, and I can't find a song that I heard on my computer before. How can it be done with XMMS and Amarok? I also have totem and mplayer, but those are for movies. I want to do the same thing my cd player does. It will play 5 or 10 seconds of a song and then go to the next one.

Well if you was to load them into one big playlist then hit play at the start of the list and next button for a few thousand times after 5 seconds your in. If you have scanned your collection into amarok it has Smart Playlists choose the All Collection option to load them all xmms will theoretically do the same if you were to load the top level directory for your music but has not completed that for me for quite awhile.

Edit: BTW do you remember any of the lyrics perhaps someone might recognize the song.
