I'm trying to use Xine to play a DVD on a Thinkpad 600x with Fedora 3. The sound comes through fine, but the picture just shows up as a plain blue screen. The problem would seem to lie somewhere in the following error spit out by Xine:
video player v0.99.3.
(c) 2000-2004 The xine Team.
libdvdread: Using libdvdcss version 1.2.8 for DVD

I've seen similar questions in a few forums, but none of them really seemed to lead to a real, workable solution. Most of the suggestions involved updating to the current version of libdvdread, which I have done to no avail. Any other suggestions?
Have you installed the libdvdcss plugin yet? I think that this could be the cause of your problem, you can get this plugin and all the other plugins necessary to play DVD's correctly at the following website:
I have installed the libdvdcss plugin but the error persists. Any other thoughts on what might be causing this?
One thing I forgot to mention in my last post is that my video card is a NeoMagic MagicMedia 256ZX
Thanks,
Alex

the only other suggestion that I have is that you go to the websites that I provided and download every file that they tell you to and install them in the order that they tell you (there is a link for the fedora operating system). What this would aleviate would be any problems that have been caused by other faulty plugins that you might have downloaded.
As far as the video card goes I suggest that you check to see if it has been fully configured by your operating system.
