Release: 14.04
Codename: trusty

xfce4-weather-plugin was working fine just a week ago on my system, but suddenly stopped working. It now cannot retrieve data. It simply shows a question mark and reads "No Data". I filed a bug report here, but I suspect a long time will pass before anyone looks at the report. So, hopefully someone here has a fix. See information above for further information, and also see link the the bug report I post above. Thanks.

Okay, I did solve this. I ported from the source repository of utopic rather than trusty (via instructions here -- replacing "zabbix" with "xfce4-weather-plugin") for the newer version of xfce4-weather-plugin. So it is now working. Possibly purging and reinstalling the current version, 0.8.3-1, would have sufficed, since a purge was required. Regardless, I now have it working with the package I created (that being, xfce4-weather-plugin_0.8.3-2+local1_amd64.deb). In building the package it gave the following feedback: "W: xfce4-weather-plugin source: newer-standards-version 3.9.6 (current is 3.9.5)" which may have been the original cause of the error. Anyway, it's working now, so solved.
