XFCE4-Powermanager suspend on lid close issues

Hello,

So I am running Xubuntu 16.04 and am having issues with the powermanger, If I do pm-suspend or manually suspend the machine from the power menu I get expected results but if I set powermanager to suspend on lid close it cannot resume.

I do not post here often but have looked through many queries and have not seen one like this.

Any ideas?

Look for a tab "Extended" in the power manager settings. Open it find the "Set monitor sleep mode:" choose or tick "Standby". Uncheck anything there that says "Hybernate".

Hope that works. Good luck and enjoy.

My resolution was editing "/etc/systemd/logind.conf" and uncommenting "HandleLidSwitch=suspend" So that the system handles the suspend. This worked on my first install but not my second so I just suspend from the menu now.
