xchat questions


ok i have 2 questions about xchat.

1) i have it set so if i click an irc link in firefox 9 it will open xchat but is there a way to make it go to the server and channel i click on lik ein the windows clients.

2) is there a way to make xchat automatically accept and resume dcc sends?

1) In the server list dialog once you have selected your server you should see at the bottom a checkbox for "automatically connect at startup" check it.

2) No clue.

hi guys. I don't wanna start another thread just to ask my lame question. (pardon my bad english coz I'm a filipino)

What should I put in the Proxy Server Hostname?

Coz I can't connect to any servers using xchat. It seems that I am using the wrong proxy settings. Here's my set up:

Server is running Window$ XP and I use WinGate for internet sharing. My laptop (client) is running RedHat 9. I can browse the web using mozilla firefox. Why can't I connect to Xchat ?

by the way, here's the error everytime i try to connect:

Connection failed. Error: No route to host.
