WMware RHEL4 installed on WinXP nat with VPN

I have a rather odd configuration to try and setup and I've no idea how to do it

I have to install and configure VMware running RHEL4 on a notebook that connects to a corporate network via an VPN connection thu a WiFi connection
the problem is that the wireless connection is to a subneted part of the network and not to the internet
the notebook gets it's internet access thru the corporate network proxy server that it connects to thru the VPN

IT here will not allow RHEL4 on the network but will allow it to access the proxy so here is what I have to do: host-only network to the local machine samba binded to this Vnic for any filesharing needed (working fine)

A nat'd connection to access the internet but I can't see the proxy thru the VPN is there a way to pass the DNS info from the VPN connection to the Vnic configured for NAT

I'm running RHEL4 WS on WinXP Pro inside VMware server

I was able to get this to work by configuring NAT on VMware to forward port 80 to the virtual PC's ip
