wmplayer clone for Linux?

Hi,

Wmplayer for windows is nice for new users getting in touch to linux and others that like it. Unfortunately I guess I never saw any clone of it. Although it is a microsoft product, it is a nice program - I have to say.

Clone for Linux or equivalent?

General opinion on WMP is very low, there are many media players (for Windows as well as Linux) that are much superior. So I can't imagine anyone has put the time in to clone it. Certainly I have never heard of one.

If you really want to use WMP, I would suggest WINE (which appears to be what you are doing in that shot anyway).
