i whenever try to run wine i get following error
"wine: creating configuration directory '/root/.wine'...
/usr/bin/wineserver: relocation error: /usr/bin/wineserver: symbol epoll_create, version GLIBC_2.3.2 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference
wine: wineprefixcreate failed while creating '/root/.wine'."
Have you tried running Wine as a non-root user? I don't think it's a good idea to run Wine as root, like you seem to be doing (otherwise it shouldn't be trying to create the directory under /root which is root's home directory).
thanx
what about this
"wine: creating configuration directory '/home/jamil/.wine'...
/usr/bin/wineserver: relocation error: /usr/bin/wineserver: symbol epoll_create, version GLIBC_2.3.2 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference
wine: wineprefixcreate failed while creating '/home/jamil/.wine'."
At minimum you should provide distro, and wine version. Also, if you compiled wine or got the binaries from a repo. Details ... more details. Nobody can help you with what you have provided.
well, both your distro and wine versions are very old. Wine is now up to version 0.9.33. About the only thing I can suggest with your distro is to try compiling the source yourself.
