wine + keyboard problem..?

When trying to use Wine, I've noticed a small problem...keyboard. First of all, it does work fine in some programs run through Wine - like mirc32, for example. I can write and use the program completely normally with keyboard. But when using some other programs, like some emulator (cannot remember it's name..), typing with keyboard does nothing with the program - usually the text I write is printed in terminal, where I start Wine from, along with some error message about the problem with my keyboard. Some say I'd need to configure my keyboard to Wine, but that usually would mean the case my keyboard won't work at all wint Wine - but what about now, when it does work fine with some programs but not with all of them?

I haven't found any kind of help to this problem, but I wish I could. Some Windows-based games have this problem, so is there any help? Someone other must have had the same problem...can't believe I'd be the only one

And, if someone knows something about usb-yepp mp3-players. please read my other question in Linux/General..

well its not a wine specific issue, rather its a wine + programname specific issue...some maybe un fixable but for others we may be able to help you cause i know of some programs that you have to add a certain line to your wine config to get your keyboard working...
...and there is NUMEROUS irc clients available for linux so it really serves no purpose to run mirc32 through wine, and save yourself a headache..
p.s. thats my fix for your keyboard with mirc32 and to translate that to lamens terms, -> use a linux irc client.
