Windows ME cannot write to SAMBA shares

Hi All,

I saw some old posts about this, but they didn't really answer my question...

I am using MDK2005le with SMB4k as my SMB browser. My wife uses Win ME. She can see my shares, and I can see, browse and write to hers. She however, cannot write to mine, even though they are CHMOD to 777. She gets "Access Denied". I would have thought a share set to 777 wouldn't deny anybody. Any ideas???

Does she really have to be using Win ME? Of all the Windows OSes I think that's the worst. First I'd fix that, then deal with Samba issue.

Yeah...not my choice. Soon she'll be on XP but in the meantime this is frustrating as hell...
