Windows 10 locks all the folders and files that are on NTFS partitions

Hi,

I would like to resize the partition of Windows 10 it is almost full.
Moved SSD with Windows 10 into PC that usually use with MX Linux.
1. I don't know the Linux program that I have to use about to increase Windows 10 partition;
2. I did mistake to run Windows 10, but after shut down Windows 10 leaves all the NTFS - partitions locked and I can not manipulate them.

Is there any way to unlock all the NTFS - partitions (folders and files) ?
After that which Linux program I have to use about to increase Windows 10 partition ?

Windows 10 defaults to hibernate and not a full shutdown which is why your partitions are "locked". I would put the drive back into the Windows computer, boot up again and perform a full shutdown.

You can perform a full shut down by pressing and holding the Shift key on your keyboard while you click the “Shut Down” option.

You should be able to boot gparted from a live USB drive from the Windows PC itself without moving anything but without knowing what is "behind" the Windows partition in question we can not see if what you are trying to accomplish is doable or not.

Thanks!
I will do described above steps to do unlock.

SSD contains Windows 10 on the first NTFS partition size 111 GB, there is about 8 GB free space.
Second NTFS is about 354 GB (used about 68 GB), there is about 286 GB free space.
For example, I just need to increase the first partition +100 GB and to decrease the second partition -100 GB.

Make sure you have a verified backup of any important stuff. Just in case...

Thanks again!
I had put the SSD back into the Windows computer.
Then I performed a full shut down: pressed and holded the Shift key on my keyboard while did click the “Shut Down” from the Windows “Start” Menu.
After a start of a live USB drive I was lucky to see that NTFS partitions was unlocked, then made a backup of any important folders.
Next step was to use GParted to split second partition. Moved all the data from old part to new part.
Finally I merged the first partition with empty neighbour part!
This way I have system Windows partition C: of 210 GB, and second partition F: of 254 GB.
