If that's not possible, maybe someone can reccomend to me a good music player for KDE. Amarok is too heavy for me, and the GTK1 menus of XMMS make it look straight out of 1985.

XMMS, BMP, and Audacious only support WinAmp classic skins... BTW, if the only thing you don't like about XMMS is the GTK1 look, try out Audacious or BMP.
XMMS2 and BMPx are in the works, yet I don't know that either does/will support WinAmp modern skins.
As far as KDE goes, if Amarok is too heavy maybe try out JuK. It is a nice app, and should be part of the kdemultimedia package on most distributions. Also notable are Noatun and Kaffiene.
