why am I unable to startup mozilla?

When I click on the Mozilla Icon, to start up the browser, a tab opens up , saying ' Starting Mozilla Web browser'. After this there is no response, and a browser window doesn't open. The system monitor displays Mozilla-Bin for a little while, and then that disappears too!!!
I use Red Hat Linux 9.
I need help on this, as I am a Linux Novice, and can not comprehend whats happening tomy system!!! I was able to use Mozilla Yesterday, and today, it just does'nt show up!!

Thx,
Phil

delete the .mozilla directory in your home dir.

maybe you have more than one copy of moz on your system?
usually it's in /usr/lib/mozilla

you could also check and make sure you have the right shell linked to the icon you created to make it run. when i installed mozilla i linked the wrong command shell to the icon the first time and it acted the exsact same way by simply trying to open and sitting there doing nothing, then it eventually closed with nothing happening. try linking the icon to the firefix shell under the mozilla folder instead of the run-mozilla.sh shell.

i am having the exact same issue running RH9.

i deleted the .mozilla out of my home dir, and i only have plugins in my /usr/lib/mozilla dir

as for the icon, its just the standard default icon in the panle made during install.

find / -name "mozilla-bin" -type f -print

that will see if you have more than one mozilla-bin around.

Code:
 find / -name "mozilla-bin" -type f print

Usage: find [path...] [expression]

i appriciate all the help, but i would ask one more favor.

please tell me what all of these comands are that im typing in, so i learn not only the who, but more importantly the why.

kind of like teaching a man to fish vs giving a man a fish thing.

your efforts are more then appriciated.
