Question Which Thunderbird version is Gmail's legacy cutoff for use without "less secure app access"?

I want to use a newer Thunderbird, but I can't stay up-to-date because I use old operating systems.

How old can I go in Thunderbird with "less secure app access" off?

Per this link, V. 31 and older won't work with Gmail.

I simply adjusted my Gmail profile to tell them not to care.

Perhaps I could phrase it differently:

Which version of Thunderbird is new enough to not require less secure app access?

Are there any?
