Question Which file inside omni.ja is responsible for the file name suggestion behaviour of the "save as" dialogue in Firefox?

At some point, Firefox stopped automatically appending ".html" to the suggested file name in the "Save as" dialogue to web pages whose title contains a dot. For example, if I wanted to download the Wikipedia article "M.2", the file name suggested by Firefox is "M.2 - Wikipedia" instead of "M.2 - Wikipedia.html". Manually typing "[End].html" each time to add the extension is tedious and annoying.

I think something inside the /usr/lib/firefox/omni.ja file is responsible for the behaviour of Firefox when hitting CTRL+S to save a page, since that file contains the internal scripts of Firefox since version 4. Before, those were plain files. I would like to modify that behaviour so it appends ".html" again.

Does anyone know which file inside omni.ja is responsible for the suggested file name?

I believe this is a standard GTK dialogue, not something firefox-specific. Anyhow, I don't have this issue on my system with the latest firefox 108 and ancient GTK 3.22
